Havas deployed on Monday its new organization which sees Euro RSCG agencies take the name of Havas Worldwide
Change of name at a giant of the pub. The advertising group Havas on Monday formalized its new integrated structure that will absorb the Euro RSCG communication agency and renamed Havas Worldwide. "The digital revolution has erased the boundaries between creation, the media and the business of communication.Technology profoundly transforms the economic model of many sectors including the communication," summarizes Havas in a statement. "In this context, Havas has adopted a unique business model based on a simple, clear, agile and integrated structure that places digital at the heart of all its activities and agencies," he adds.

Havas CEO David Jones' official reason is that Havas Worldwidewants to simplify its agency offerings to clients. The company will be divided into two divisions: Havas Creative, which will include the newly rechristened Havas Worldwide and Arnold Worldwide; and Havas Media, the buying arm.
Havas believes this will make it easier for clients to understand the company: Other holding firms, like WPP and Omnicom, have vast lists of differently named agencies.
Havas, by contrast, will mostly be called "Havas."
But Havas communications director Lorella Gessa called us up this week to insist that Havas was not making the change in preparation for a sale or merger, as I argued yesterday. She said that the Euro-crisis made the name-change easier. She said of "Euro":
