Was Strauss-Kahn set up?

PARIS, FRANCE - MAY 16: Newspapers with covera...Image by Getty Images via @daylife
DSK said he resigned to spare the IMF’s “nightmare” | Economics Newspaper

For some reason this story bumps me a bit. Yes le seducteur aka, the seducer and salacious horn dawg had a reputation for chasing skirts. Of course this
behavior is not frowned upon in France and easily looked over, yet they may earn themselves some fun nicknames not so appropriate for the head of
the International Monetary Fund. It's like having a guy named Made Off be trusted not to make off with all your money.. not really, but close enough.

He was going to fight this with all he had.... Then he thought about his reputation and all the slimy whoring stories that would come out, he thought, (that's key)
he used his brain to think and decided to spare all that would be affected including the IMF the grief inevitable should a trial ensue.
Hillary Clinton to the World Bank? (swampland.time.com)
Hmmmmmm....... motive for set up..............

Men in power seem to lose their heads when the other one is stimulated to do all their thinking. It's sad, really, that one can be controlled by a part of their body
that women use to their advantage. If they only knew how women don't care, and will use what they've got and the men in power want to dethrone them and
leave them in the lurch.

Something about this one seems suspect to me, though. This maid was shaking her tail feathers in Mr. International Monetary Fun'ds face.. The fantasy a seducteur couldn't resist, even if his huge career was at stake.

This was predicted, and the maid was bolder than bold... Funny how our dollar's struggling, this guy got screwed, and now we've got our vultures flying around, lurking, until they get the go ahead to swoop in on the still warm carcass of Strauss-Kahn's head position of the IMF.  Another guy in public office loses it all for a piece of tail.  Those hose bags are out there ready to use it against them. (Willing whores) Fall for the bait, chase it, and exploiters laugh as those with no impulse control bite the dust.

DSK said he resigned to spare the IMF’s “nightmare”
“These days have been extremely painful for my family and me, as I know, they were for each Fund,” he writes.
Dominique Strauss-Kahn said in an email sent to all staff of the International Monetary Fund that he had resigned to spare the IMF “nightmare” that he was to live, according to the text of the letter obtained Monday by AFP.
“These days have been extremely painful for my family and me, as I know, they were for each Fund. I am truly sorry that this has been the case, “ Strauss-Kahn wrote in the letter signed” Dominique “, written in English and dated Sunday. [Read here]
“I deny in the strongest terms possible the charges which I am now facing: I am convinced that the truth will be revealed and I will be exonerated,” he said.
“In the meantime, I can not accept that the fund – and you ladies and gentlemen – should in any way share the nightmare that I’m living. It was then that I parte , said former general manager.

Strauss-Kahn, released Friday, six days after his arrest in a case of attempted rape and sexual assault, announced his resignation from his post as director of the IMF in a letter published in the Wednesday night Thursday by the institution. He has not spoken publicly since the beginning of the case.

CNN Poll: Obama approval rating drops as fears of depression rise
mug.cnnpolitics
(CNN) – President Barack Obama's overall approval rating has dropped below 50 percent as a growing number of Americans worry that the U.S. is likely to slip into another Great Depression within the next 12 months, according to a new national poll.
A CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll released Wednesday also indicate that the economy overall remains issue number one to voters, with other economic issues - unemployment, gas prices and the federal deficit - taking three of the remaining four spots in the top five.
Read the full results (pdf).

Forty-eight percent of people questioned say they approve of how the president is handling his duties in the White House, down six points from late May. An equal 48 percent say they disapprove of how Obama's performing, up three points from late last month.
The poll indicates a slight deterioration among Democrats and independent voters, with the president's approval rating among Democrats down three points to 82 percent and down five points among independents to 42 percent.
"But far and away his biggest drop has come among Republicans. In May, over a quarter approved of President Obama's handling of his job, but that is down to 14 percent now, a clear indication that any advantage he gained from taking out Osama bin Laden has faded with time," says CNN Polling Director Keating Holland.
According to the survey Obama's strength remains his personal appeal: Three-quarters of all Americans say they approve of him personally, including a plurality of Republicans. But positive views of the president's personality may be trumped by economic jitters.
"Obama's approval among Republicans spiked after bin Laden's death, and no one expected it to stay that high for another 18 months. But the White House is probably worried more about the much smaller drops among independents and even Democrats. Those shifts are likely due to concerns about the economy, particularly unemployment," adds Holland.
Forty-eight percent say that another Great Depression is likely to occur in the next year - the highest that figure has ever reached. The survey also indicates that just under half live in a household where someone has lost a job or are worried that unemployment may hit them in the near future. The poll was conducted starting Friday, when the Labor Department reported that the nation's jobless rate edged up to 9.1 percent.
"The poll reminded respondents that during the Depression in the 1930s, roughly one in four workers were unemployed, banks failed, and millions of Americans were homeless or unable to feed their families," says Holland. "And even with that reminder, nearly half said that another depression was likely in the next 12 months. That's not just economic pessimism - that's economic fatalism."
According to the survey, more than eight in ten Americans say that the economy is in poor shape, a number that has stubbornly remained at that level since March.
Not surprisingly, with that much economic angst, the economy is the number one issue, the only one that more than half of the public says will be extremely important to their vote for president next year. Nearly all issues that at least four in ten say will be extremely important to their vote are domestic issues. Terrorism also makes that list, but Afghanistan is fairly low and Libya is tied for dead last out of the 15 issues tested. Abortion and gay marriage also rank very low, indicating that 2012 may be an election that is shaped more by bread-and-butter issues than social and moral concerns.
The CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll was conducted June 3-7, with 1,015 adult Americans questioned by telephone. The survey's overall sampling error is plus or minus three percentage points.
– CNN Deputy Political Director Paul Steinhauser contributed to this report.

Government's Sneaky
Uses of Inflation:

uses on inflationToday the public and the media are both caught in the web of contradictory disinformation about inflation, which is then spread by governments, political partisans, ideologues and pundits to further their own causes.
American citizens know that rising inflation can be extremely dangerous, so why do politicians and central bankers keep printing reckless amounts of paper money, knowing the catastrophe this can cause?
"The answer is that inflation is many things in addition to devaluation of the currency," writes Craig R. Smith, businessman and author of "Crashing the Dollar."
"Inflation is literally becoming a new kind of governance,” an “Inflatocracy,” Smith explains, “that imposes its own sinister rules and alternative values, values quite different from those of America's Founders."
Mr. Smith invites readers to discover six major hidden government uses of inflation:
1) Inflation as a Tool to help political friends and harm enemies.
2) Inflation as an Ideology.
3) Inflation as a form of Taxation, here and abroad.
4) Inflation as a device for Social Engineering.
5) Inflation as a means of Wealth Redistribution.
6) Inflation as a way to seize and exercise Power.

"$6 Gas Prices by Summer" reports DrudgeReport.com
Some experts are calling for $200+ barrel oil prices in 2011. Find out why rising gas prices are not included in the U.S. inflation index?gas

All these inflation manipulations are covered in Mr. Smith's hot, new 40-page White Paper: "THE USES OF INFLATION" which is offered free to every American with assets to protect.
THE USES OF INFLATION explains why inflation is much more than higher prices, and what steps you and your family can take to survive, thrive and even prosper during the hard economic times in America's immediate future.
After reading THE USES OF INFLATION, you will never again see inflation or money the way you do now.
George Orwell warned in his futuristic novel "1984" about the risk of being taken in by "Newspeak," government's deceptive use of words – especially when it comes to protecting your hard-earned assets.
Turn off Big Brother's propaganda about inflation and go to your phone and call 800-289-2646 now. Or register online to receive this urgent, eye-opening White Paper– available via email or in hard copy.

Obama's Egghead Economic Saboteurs

Obama's Egghead Economic Saboteurs
Vote now in the GOP Presidential Straw Poll!
Official motto of the White House economic team: Those who can, do. Those who can't, fantasize in the classroom, fail in Washington and then return to the Ivy Tower to train the next generation of egghead economic saboteurs. Life is good for left-wing academics. Everyone else pays dearly.
Take Austan Goolsbee, please. President Obama's "fresh-faced" University of Chicago econ professor arrived in Washington in December 2008 to fill two slots: chief economist/staff director of the president's Economic Recovery Advisory Board and member of the Council of Economic Advisers. In September 2010, he replaced CEA head and fellow academic Christina Romer, who retreated to the University of California at Berkeley last August when unemployment hit 9.5 percent. (She infamously projected that the Obama stimulus would hold the jobless rate below 8 percent.)
Goolsbee's primary task: translating all of the administration's big-government theories for us dummies. As Goolsbee put it to his university's student newspaper: "We've certainly seen in previous crises that it's quite important to explain things to non-experts. The American people can confront any challenge if they're comfortable with the approach."
And what exactly was the nature of Goolsbee's vaunted expertise? Making money as a business rescue-and-recovery expert without ever having had to meet a payroll.
Goolsbee, the 15th wealthiest member of the Obama administration, has raked in assets valued at between $1,146,000 and $2,715,000. He also pulled in a University of Chicago salary of $465,000 and additional wages and honoraria worth $93,000, according to Washingtonian magazine. As I've noted before, the government research fellow and Obama campaign adviser was a champion of extending credit to the un-creditworthy. In a 2007 op-ed for The New York Times, he derided those who called subprime mortgages "irresponsible." He preferred to describe them as "innovations in the mortgage market" to expand the pool of homebuyers.
Goolsbee's most recent "innovation": the "White House White Board," a weekly video lecture teaching everyone else how to hitch what remains of America's free-market system to the wagon of the state and how much (or rather, how little) we should make doing it. He illustrated his grand interventionist strategy to pick and choose "Startup America" winners by drawing a trough of broken light bulbs (symbolizing entrepreneurial ideas) piling up in a "Valley of Death" because they lacked government support.

When Goolsbee joined Team Obama, the unemployment rate was at around 6 percent. When he announced his resignation on Monday, the jobless rate stood at 9.1 percent. Romer and Jared Bernstein (former chief economist to Vice President Joe Biden) had predicted unemployment would drop every single month after August 2009 due to the Obama stimulus. Bernstein bailed on the administration in April 2011 for the sanctuary of a liberal think-tank. He'll also now ply his failed wares as a financial pundit.
These hapless command-and-control ideologues were preceded by Peter Orszag, who hung his "Mission Accomplished" banner over the White House budget office in June 2010 after fewer than two years on the job, and by former National Economic Council head and hedge fund manager Larry Summers, who was caught sleeping on the job -- literally -- more than once during his brief tenure. Summers packed his bags in September. He was followed by Princeton economics professor and former top Obama Treasury Department official Alan Krueger in October 2010.
White House aides have lamented that the economic team is "exhausted." Apparently, Obama is tired of hearing from them, too. The Hill newspaper reports that he has stopped receiving daily economic briefings that were once treated with the same emergency status as national security briefings. So, the central planners continue to be paid to fail -- while their boss looks the other way at the destruction, whistling into what he calls America's temporary "head winds."
Nice non-work if you can get it.

Wait, What? Rick Santorum announces he's running "walking' for President

United States Senator Rick Santorum, sponsor o...Image via Wikipedia
Former Senator from Pennsylvania, Rick Santorum made his candidacy announcement today.  I heard about him, saw his Fox News Republican Debate, but wasn't too impressed.   I have always been impressed with Allen West Rep. (R) Florida District 22 and hoped he'd run, but those hopes have been dashed, despite a huge campaign to draft him in.  My belief that West is the man is unwavering and has been since August 2010.

I saw a flicker of light in Herman Cain, who after the debate swept HIMSELF off his own feet because he got a high rating for that unofficial preliminary discussion. Palin is not confirming a thing, but she's a strong, smart woman with her own rules.. They seem to work for her and I like her despite the media's campaign against her.

Looked like Romney was the one to route for.... UNTIL... Today..
Something, Something Great lies within Rick Santorum.. I heard him today, I felt his words and they struck the right chords.  Good Luck to you Mr. Santorum.  You rocked your speech, even during a moment of concern when an audience member up front fainted.. A dude.. haha.. It was handled perfectly, and I can't wait to see you rock Obama's boat back to where it floated in from.
